The Association of Irish and Celtic Festivals (AICF) will hold its annual conference in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 7–8, 2027. Representatives from festivals across North America will attend to book performers for their 2027 seasons and beyond.
We are looking for bands that love and play Irish and Celtic music, in all genres, to apply for the Conference Entertainment Showcase.
Key Dates
Submissions open October 1, 2026, and the application deadline is January 1, 2027. All applicants will be notified by email, whether accepted or not, by January 15, 2027.
How Selection Works
Our entertainment committee is made up of members from festivals across North America, and they will review every submission. Showcase slots are limited.
Eligibility and Travel
All showcasing artists must be able to travel to North America, including obtaining visas if required, for festival performances during the summer festival circuit (mostly June through September) in 2027 and/or 2028.
Note for bands from outside the USA: Because showcase performers are not paid and are simply showcasing their talents for festival representatives, you would only need ESTA travel authorization to perform at the showcase, not the work visa required for paid spring, summer, and fall festival performances. Please confirm your specific requirements before booking travel.
Travel and Accommodations
All selected acts are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation costs. Rooms are available in our conference hotel block at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center for $180 per night.
